Unbelievable innings for AB and Proteas

AB you beast! Stellar innings from AB and Victory was near guaranteed for the Proteas.

The Captain has taken a stand… and what a stand it has been! AB de Villiers provided one of the fastest knocks in World Cup History today after he scored 162 runs of 64 balls, and remained undefeated on this total.

The amazing facts and figures of this inning, have ensured AB goes down in cricket history as being the player who scored the fastest 150 runs in the One Day International format.

This innings, coupled with ‘El Capitano’s’ 149 runs total against the West Indies earlier this year, show just how deadly the Protea’s can be. With the knock from AB, the South Africans ended off their game on a total off 408 after 50 overs.

The West Indian’s were bowled out for  151/10 after 33.1 overs. South Africa won their third World Cup game by 257 runs.

South African Legend, Shaun Pollock articulates the innings perfectly.

Captain, diverse sportsman, all-round great guy, and apparently a model as well.

Although he did not win against Kholi in the previous match-up, the Proteas more than made up for it today.

Just so you know, AB was feeling a bit under the weather last night.

Oh, and just so you know…

And finally, some advice to our government…

Definitely an idea when AB is burning with #ProteaFire
