KB the bee’s knees

The Isuzu KB 300 D-TEQ might be made for the mountains, but it makes town runs just as fun. There's nothing a woman loves more than a machine that can handle the heat.

The Isuzu KB 300 D-TEQ is nothing you’d expect from a 4×2.

Aside from its luxury leather interior and ability to handle a payload of 1142kg, the KB 300 is a riot to drive. The rocky terrain near Liggies had nothing on the rough and rugged machine.

With all the features and specifications you would expect from a 21st century double cab, the KB 300 easily compares to luxury vehicles in terms of comfort.

Whether you’re city slicking or braving routes no man would dare, the double cab is made with hard work, endurance and safety in mind.

The KB 300 has a fuel consumption of 7.8 litres per 100km. I might sound completely crazy, but it’s a lot lighter on fuel than most bakkies in its class or price range.

If you are planning on towing your buddy’s boat to the dam, the KB 300 can tow up a 3500kg trailer with an overrun brake.

If heading to the beach is more you scene, the KB 300 is the car for you. Cruise control makes highways even more fun than ever before!

The KB 300 is pretty straightforward when it comes to interior features. Automatic climate control, a multi information display and a leather steering wheel with audio control make the 4×2 simple, yet sophisticated.

The chrome radiator grille and multi-reflector halogen headlamps add to the appeal of the majestic-looking beast.

As the clouds gathered overhead, I couldn’t help but hope for the rain to start coming down. Only then would the KB 300 have been put through its paces.

The slopes of Signal Hill had to suffice. The damp ground and rocky red roads were enough to make me smile from ear to ear. For the first time, I felt like I was in a bakkie that could handle any test I put it through.

It might not be a 4×4, but it drives like it could be. There isn’t a task too tough for the KB 300 to tackle, that’s for sure.

Parking assist lets the driver know when they are just about to drive through the neighbour’s wall, preventing damage to you and your pocket.

The Isuzu KB 300 is a workhorse I can personally guarantee will go wherever you want it go. Its innovative and unique features and elements are proof that not only farmers should be driving bakkies.

I could go on and on about how amazing the Isuzu KB 300 is and list numerous reasons why this is the perfect bakkie for you.

But, I won’t. You have to drive it to understand it.
