Suzuki splurges on the Splash

The Suzuki Splash is in its own class of cute. If you enjoy the finer things in life, this car is perfect for you.

The Suzuki Splash GA has enough personality to add a pop of colour to even the dullest of days.

The Splash is compact in size, yet big on fun, and has been dubbed the ultimate run-around car of the year.

The jam-packed 1.2 litre puts on an exciting spin on comfort and utility. A fuel consumption of 5.6 litres per 100 kilometres makes the Splash practical and affordable for prospective buyers.

I’d be lying if I said the colourful splash vinyl on the car’s body didn’t catch my eye the moment I walked onto the showroom floor, but the chic two-toned interior is what sold me on the Suzuki Splash.

The sporty dashboard design conjures feelings of being cool and in control. I wanted to rest my arm on the door and bob my head as the car’s unique beat pulsed through my body. Cheesy right?

The high roof and seat position give the illusion of more space to splash out. Comfortably seating five, it makes every outing and night out an adventure.

The run-around five-speed manual model packs quite the punch. It accelerates from zero to 100km per hour in 12.3 seconds and has a top speed of 160km per hour.

Its safety features include a collision-safety engineered body, front airbags and head restraints that limit the chance of head injury.

What impressed me the most about the Splash is its stability out on the open road. The front and rear coil spring suspension make speed bumps an absolute breeze.

The Splash might be compact, but the sporty hatchback has more to offer than just its looks.

Whether you’re maneuvering around potholes or trapped in bumper-to-bumper traffic, the Suzuki Splash is proof that driving doesn’t have to be a schlep.

I could bore you with facts and figures about rev counters, multi-point injection and ventilated discs, but all you really need to know is that this car dares to be different.

Not only is the Splash ideally suited for first-time buyers and students, it’s perfect for a family of four or five.

If you’re looking for a car with character and charisma, the Suzuki Splash is the car for you!
