An intelligence driven operation was conducted on Monday , 9 April 2018 at oSizweni policing area with the assistance of oSizweni Crime Prevention members.
This was in response to information drug dealing and other cases at oSizweni policing area.

Members proceeded to a house at Section A in oSizweni.
The operation yielded positive results as one male suspect aged (30) was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm.
One Norinco 9mm pistol with one empty magazine was recovered, the estimated value of the firearm is approximately twelve thousand rand.
The suspect was detained at oSizweni SAPS for further questioning and once charged for possession of unlicensed firearm, he will appear in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court.
