Two trucks were left stranded after becoming stuck in the deep ruts.

The poor state of oSizweni roads has some residents driven up the wall.

One such resident is Michael Mzobe.

By the time he leaves for work, it’s already a bad morning.

The state of the road before his house in oSizweni has deteriorated to the point where exiting the driveway could damage his vehicle.

Since problems began in 2016, he sustained two burst tyres.

Michael said he reported the state of the road to the municipality then.

He was told the damage was caused by water washing the sub-surface layer away.

A portion of the road was then dug out.

Months on, Michael said the situation steadily worsened.
