Raphah hands out hearty donations

Residents express joy at receiving the donated bones.

Raphah ensured Christmas came early for the less fortunate.

The organisation donated 2.6 tonnes of meaty bones to residents of Newcastle, Madadeni and oSizweni in two charity projects on October 27 and December 8.

This formed part of Raphah’s continued outreach.

Pastor Sonja Luus, on behalf of her husband, Pastor Gerd Luus, explained the bones were sponsored by a local retailer, and had enough meat to strip off and cook or use similarly to soup bones.

A transport trailer was also sponsored by another company.

“Community members were extremely grateful to receive this great blessing. Some were dancing and singing to show their gratitude at certain distribution points.”

Extending her thanks to locals for their continued support, Luus invited those willing to also form part of outreach to call 079 556 7379 or email [email protected]za.

“A small donation – as little as R10 – can make a huge difference.”
