PREVIEW: Family pay tribute to Rudi Landsberg

Reast in Peace Rudi…

A laugh so infectious, one could not help but want to be around him.

These were the words used to describe the late Rudi Landsberg, who was killed during a cash in transit robbery in Madadeni on November 25.

What was supposed to be a normal working day quickly turned into a nightmare, as no one could have anticipated it would be the last time anyone ever saw Rudi alive.

His death came as such a shock to all of us. He was such a gentleman; a kind soul who never harmed anyone,” said his sister, Lelani Landsberg.

Rudi was the youngest of three siblings, and the only brother.

Growing up, Lelani described her brother as a sweet child, but also a child on his own mission.

“Rudi was never rushed, never angry. He just smiled all the time and never let anything upset him.”

“He was always friendly to everyone, and he could get along with anyone he met.”

Rudi was laid to rest on Friday, December 1, surrounded by friends and family who came to pay their final respects.
