#WackyWednesday: Vintage adverts that would never be aired this Christmas

Adverts in days gone by were far from being politically correct. In fact, they were downright offensive.

Christmas is approaching at a rapid pace and businesses are going all out, advertising their products and offering specials.

In bygone days, businesses and advertising agencies did not believe in gender equality, nor were they politically correct.

Here are some vintage adverts that would never be published in any modern day newspapers:

1. Someone call the SPCA

2. What on earth? How was that even legal?

3. Santa might find himself on the naughty list today…

4. When sexism pulls into the driveway

5. The sexism is strong in this one

6. No pressure on losing weight, right?

7. Racism at its peak
