EVENT: Impuphu Wholesalers to kick off soccer tournament

Devland Impuphu Wholesalers is inviting the community to participate in its fourth annual charity drive and soccer tournament on August 19.

The tournament would be part of the day’s fun along with a three kilometre fun walk/run, which would start at the Paradise Sports Grounds at 3pm.

The general community was invited to join this event, as it would be open to both children and adults alike, with super prizes to be won.

  • While the fun walk/run is focused on uniting the community, the highlight of the weekend’s fun would be the soccer tournament which would kick off at 1pm, with the adults 7-a-side category. This would continue into the early evening with the knock-out stages and the final played on Sunday, August 20.

The Juniors and under-12 tournament will take place on the Astro Court at the Paradise Sports Grounds.

Teams from Natal, Mpumalanga and the Free State will participate in the soccer, with a full soccer kit, trophies and free stock being given to the winning team. For those who would not be taking to the sports grounds to play soccer, they can enjoy one of the food stalls which will be made available on the day, and stalls are still available to be be booked.

The grand finale of the weekend would see donations made to a needy school, where a soup kitchen would be run for ten days, in order to provide extra nourishment for the learners.
