JUST IN: N3 closed for blasting on Monday

Blasting operations will result in the closure of the N3 on Monday.

The N3 will be closed at the Hammarsdale interchange on April 24 between 3pm and 4pm.

In a statement provided on behalf of the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL), both carriageways of the N3 between the Cato Ridge and Hammarsdale interchanges will be closed for blasting.

The time may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.

Motorists using the N3 on Monday will have to divert onto the R103 at the Shongweni and Cato Ridge interchanges, while the Meadway Road and MR 385 will be closed as well.

SANRAL has given assurances the routes will be closed for the shortest time possible.

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and stick to the speed limit, and SANRAL has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
