HILLDROP – Christians around the world celebrated Easter last weekend, with church denominations celebrating the occasion in their own special way.

For Newcastillians, Easter Sunday meant revering the special occasion on Hilldrop for the annual sunrise service.

Waking up at the crack of dawn, several Newcastillians made their way to Hilldrop where they worshipped and celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Christians believe Jesus is the son of God who was crucified and died for their sins, and rose again and conquered death.
