ANNIEVILLE – Dannhauser police are appealing to members of the public to assist them with any information pertaining to the rape of a 84-year-old woman in Annieville Farm, on February 11.

According to police reports, the victim was asleep in her house when the suspect entered her place of residence at about 9pm.

The victim allegedly told the man she did not have any money. He then demanded to know the whereabouts of her grandson, and she told him she did not know where he was.  The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim called her neighbours for help and was taken to the local clinic before being transferred to Madadeni Crisis Centre.
