Dedicated to a healthier Newcastle
Pursuing his dreams, Musa Hlongwane officially opened his medical practice on January 4, to cater to Newcastle's health requirements.
With a MBChb from the University of Natal and 13 years' medical experience, Dr Hlongwane is a doctor whose interests lie in the management of general medical conditions, including HIV and Aids, chronic illnesses and mother and child health.
Dr Hlongwane said his interests reflected the reason he became a doctor.
“I enjoy helping people and seeing them get well. This is because as a child, I was extremely ill and a doctor helped me. Through his efforts, I made a huge recovery and he left such a deep impression on me that I wanted to follow in his footsteps,” he said.
Dr Hlongwane is eager to help however possible. “Seeing people smile would be my main achievement.”
Situated behind Victorian Theatres at Midas Mall Arcade, Shop 4, Dr Hlongwane's practice is not only central, but offers ample parking for patients.
Consulting hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 5pm, and Saturdays from 8.30am until 1pm.
Enthusiastic about his new journey, Dr Hlongwane will be hosting a wellness day on February 20
, where the community will have the opportunity to receive free blood pressure tests, blood sugar testing, Free HIV counselling and testing, as well as free health education.
