House burglar caught in the act

Police are investigating a case of housebreaking in Hutten Heights on Friday, February 19.

The suspect allegedly broke a door open to gain entry to the Duiker Street home.

“Police were immediately summoned, and the perpetrator was arrested,” confirmed [police spokesperson, Captain Shooz Magudulela.

“He will remain in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon.”

Houses left unattended or which lack adequate security measures are marked as easy targets by potential burglars.
