PREVIEW: Paterson Street in the spotlight again

A clear indication that more than just children make use of the park.

As night falls, a business of a less than salubrious nature takes to busy Paterson Street in Newcastle.

It is in this street that the “ladies of the night” are seen littering, defecating and working on the street corners.

One businessman has finally had enough, and expressed his anger after having to clean up the constant litter in front of his workshop.

“I have to clean my premises at least twice a week, as the amount of litter around my business premises decreases the property value.”

“I am also too afraid to attend to alarms at night because of the situation outside my work premises.”
