Double chance to win at overnight bank angling competition

NTSHINGWAYO DAM – Endumeni Angling Club (EAC) is a sports organisation, which has a team of 40 dedicated anglers from all cultural backgrounds who compete under the umbrella of the Natal Fresh Waters Angling Association.

EAC will host its debut open overnight bank angling competition on April 1 and April 2 at Chelmsford Dam, to promote the club and raise funds to finance its operations during the season.

Prizes to the value of more than R70 000 will be up for grabs, with a grand prize of R20 000 in cash for the biggest scaled fish and R10 000 for the biggest non-scaled fish. The prizes also include a “skins competition”, giving your fish a double chance to win a R1 000 cash prize within a specified three-hour time limit, as well as be eligible for the grand prize.

There are many other prizes, including fishing tackle, electrical appliances, outdoor equipment, furniture, office equipment, household goods, car accessories as well as lucky draws.

Raffle tickets are on sale at R20, giving you a chance to win a 55” Full HD Smart TV to the value of R10 000. You can buy your tickets from any EAC member now or at the competition. The draw for the raffle will be done at the weigh-in ceremony and you don’t have to be there to win this latest TV.

The competition commences at 8am on April 1; main gates open at 6am, and the weigh-in closes at 10am on April 2.

This event will for the first time in the past five years see hundreds of anglers from all over the country competing in a 100 per cent full dam, starting from the Sandford camping sites to Zone E (islands)
